The rich imperial stout which was brewed with chocolate malt and flavoured with Madagascar vanilla was born from the co-operation with the brewmaster from St. Petersburg.
This proud beer might have fit to the tables of the Czar’s court in the old days but the aficionados of craft beers are entitled to enjoy it nowadays.

7/3/2020. Bottle at my Birthday bottle share, bought at Die Bierothek, Wurzburg. Pours very dark brown with a bubbly beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, nut, cocoa, vanilla and milchkaffee. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Medium to full body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Chocolate and hazelnut finish. Quite delightful and the best of the birthday bash beers.

Bottle: Almost black, small and stable creamy brown head, distinctive bitter-sweet nose of toasted malt with traces of dried fruits, but mainly dominated by cacao, bitter chocolate and vanilla; solid bitter and also sweet flavour, full bodied, silky MF; robust and lingering sweet-bitter finish with increasing traces of bitter chocolate and vanilla towards the aftertaste. Wow! A liquid chocolate-cake...

Virtually black with a thin, dirty brown head. Aroma of vanilla and milk chocolate. Surprising hoppy assertiveness at the outset—quite bitter the whole way through, balanced only just barely by the the sweeter chocolate notes. Medium body, mild carbonation, not much oiliness given the style. Not bad.

On tap at Zmajevo 2019. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate and roast in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, dried fruits, notes of lactose and vanilla with some alcohol in the finish.

On tap at 🐉 19. Black, small brownish head. Aroma is roasty, light chocolate, dark malts, prunes and dried fruit. Spice and alcohol. Vanilla. Strong, full body, sticky. Nice spice notes. There's caramel, figs and coffee in flavour. Great balance, alcohol is hidden. Creamy. Light finish. Very gentle.
