Nils Oscar Imperial Stout is brewed only in a limited edition. Also Nils Oscar Imperial Stout was awarded as the best beer in the world. This beer is brewed with many varieties of hops and malt, nothing saved to make the stout full of character. Imperial Stout is best enjoyed combined with the dessert but works wonderfully with oysters. The Nils Oscar Imperial Stout can be enjoyed today but preferably mature a couple of years.

Bottle. Aromas of chocolate and dark malt. Opaque black color with a slight tan head. Full bodied with chewy carbonation. Flavor is smooth toasted malt, with some dark fruits and enough hop to balance the sweet. Rather smooth and light for an IS, but it is more than "just a stout". Finish is clean and refreshing. Just the thing for that polar dip. A really good drink, if not the over stuffed stouts that are typically IS.

Black with lovely large brown head. Aroma has roasted malt, coffee and liquerice. Flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Not the most powerful imperial stout. But still very nice.

Bottle. Solid foreign stout. Dark brown body. Big bubbles in a light tan head. The aroma reveals roasted malts, powdered cocoa and dark, unsweetened choclate and hints of coffee. The flavor is light to moderately sweet, moderately bitter and moderately acidic. The body is the texture of root beer — watery with lots of fizz. Chalky finish. Tasty.

Bottle at home ... Ive twice had samples of this but held of rating knowing ive got a bottle at home ... Having had 2 this evening that just didnt cut it i knew i wanted a nice safe beer ... Deep solid black ... off white head ... rich dark chocolate slightly smokey nose ... good mouth feel with a silky smooth milky chocolate base ... rich roast malts ... touch of burnt roast but at the level that complients the beer rather than lead the flavour.

Pitch black with brown head. Aroma is wauw... Hops roast coffee & chocolate malts. Filling & smooth - far from thick body though. Bitter roasted flavor. Good lacings. Not very complex, rather simple but very nice indeed!

Bottle at GBBF 2007. Black, lasting tan head. Well it’s an impy sout. Powdery intense roasted malt aroma. Powdery/grainy and juicy. Good impy stout. Little thin, but decent finish. Lovely aroma, just a little over carbonated.

50 cL bottle. Pours deep dark brown with a creamy but quickly disappearing brown head. Roasted malt aroma. Flavour is vaguely chocolate and strongly roasted malt. Clear coffee note lendin quite some of its bitterness to the beers nice hoppy bitterness. Malty and coffee finish. Nice stout.

Clear dark brown color, short brown head. Delicious strong aroma of black chocolat, some coffee and roasted malt, some hop and laurel. Creamy body. Bit alcoholic taste (7% version?), chocolat, roasted malt, quite sweet.
