En kraftig "Imperial Porter" med kaffetoner och eftersmak av saltlakrits. Inte lika dumdristig som storebror ”Idjit!” men har inga problem med att stå på egna ben!
From the one and only Dugges Ale & Porterbryggeri in Gothenburg, Sweden, an original, robust "Imperial Porter" with notes of coffee and salty liqorice.

500ml bottle served at a fine drinking temperature at 3 Små Rum. Initial huge, light brownish head disappearing totally to a shiny surface. Near black body containing deep rusty highlights. Just delicious aroma of creamy and smooth chocolate with an underlying, slightly roastiness. In-depth flavour of dark chocolate together with smooth bitter chocolate supported by a touch of salty liquorice and an ending of bitter dark fruits. A well crafted brew, indeed (Göteborg, 04.08.2010).

750 ml bottle at DC local tasting. Dark brown, tan head. Aroma of cocoa, peppers, alcohol. Taste resembles the Italian chocolate sodas of Little Italy in New Yawk. Good stuff.

50cl bottle pours a nearly opaque, deep brown with a thin, beige head. Smells like rum, straight booze, raisins, port, toasted dark bread, Bailey’s Irish Cream. Flavor is brown sugar, bread, malty, sugary, tree sap, spicy rye, a little rubber. The nose and flavor are really unique. Finish is full bodied and dry.

Bottle. Black with a rather small brownish head. A lot of coffee and licorice in both aroma and taste. Very tasty, smooth mouth feel. Long aftertaste. A good one!

Sample from tap at Dugges tasting Ölrepubliken 2010-10-19 Nice as usuall. Mikael told us that he during the summer puts the beer into the fridge to coling it down. By doing this the licorice comes out more. Rating: 4,0, new average 4,15 Bottle 13 C, 20091107 AR: coffee, AP: dark body, and fudge colured diminishing head F: coffee and salt licorice: 4,3

Draught (Stockholm Beer Festival 2009) - Black in colour with a tan head. Strong coffee aroma with hints of plain chocolate. Coffee, liquorice and plain chocolate in the taste which has loads of body. Rich and complex, but easy to drink. Delightful.

pours totally dark with a fantastic thick lasting fine light brown head. aroma is cappuchino, roasted grains, coffe, chocolate powder. truly nice aroma that reminds me of the best cappuchino’s or hot chocolate i’ve had. flavor is slightly sourish, roasted malts, the slightly citrussy acidic base is not good for the roasted malts and chocolate flavor. i suspect the beer is slightly infected.
