Cheers to Gnoff for bringing this to Florida.

Bottle at Bishops folkungagatan. Pours brown and a head can be wirled up. Rather sweet taste of cherries, licorice and chcolate. The vanilla and oak also plays a rather central part in this beer.

Bottled. Black, absolutely no head. Aroma of vanilla and coffee. Sweet and ful bodied with rounded, slick mouthfeel. Oily chocolate with sugar and espresso, slight warming alcohol and balanced bitterness. An harmonious, flavourful imperial stout.

5cl sample@SBWF2010. Quite much pitch black colour, rather thick fluid, small off-white head. Aroma is alcohol, liquorice, some caramel, mild burnt notes, some wood, vanilla and also a bit salted liquorice. Flavour is quite much the same. Quite burning, but otherwise very nicely balance.

On tap at SBWF. (rating number 800) Black with a small tan head. Very nice beer, vinous, licorice, coffee, oak, salt, chocolate. Heavy but nevertheless a very nice mouth feel. I would like to have some bottles in my cellar.

First in the que at SBWF yesterday :-), wee sample 5 cl! AP: pitch black colored body, wee brown head AR: coffee/chocolate alcohol, vinous, roasted malt, sea salt/licorice, F: coffee/chocolate , vinous, alcohol, roasted malt, sea salt/licorice, barrel, bourbon vanilla, full body, medium + bitterness, oily feeling, no curtains i.e. alcoholic traces. Had a break for 1 hour after this experience - so I had the opportunity to sniff the lovely chocolate/coffee/honey aromas for a long time out of the tulip glass. A bit softer and more oak then the Idjit! Extra: bribed my friend to a Kaggen (2009) for comparison. P .I . wasn’t as complex as the K.
