Bottle. Clear, copper body, with a beige head. Malty, slightly roasted aroma, with some sweetness. Malty flavor, with a wee note of bonfire-like sourness, roasted malt, pine, resin and a hint of coffee. Medium to full body. There’s hoppy flavors and some coffee in the finish. Even more hops would do it for me, but it is definately a nice beer. Rating: 6-4-6-3-12-3.2. (070909)

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark amber body under a creamy beige head of moderate size. Quite fruity on the nose, but there’s also a rich maltyness providing choclate notes and caramel, as well as some coffee. Moderate hoppyness. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a nice carbonation and flavors of coffee, some chocolate and roasted malt up front, and a fruity hoppyness doing a proper job later on and towards the finish. Some bitterness occur, but it’s more on the sweet side. There’s also roasted malt and some chocolate and coffee in the finish. The beer would definately do well with some more alcohol. Well, it’s not the flavor of alcohol I’m looking for, but a more full-flavored beer. On the other hand, it’s sure one of the best beers available in Norwegian stores. (080617)

On tap. Dark amber body with a nice beige head. Heavenly aroma of malt, caramel and hop. Flavor is dominated by malt, but very well balanced with notes of caramel, a god hoppy bitterness, fruity, slightly roasted, nutty and bread. It’s complex and flavorful with a long finish. This is just a really great beer.
