Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with weak chocolate hints. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel finish.

Some supermarket in Norway: Pours a brownish amber and an off-white head. Aroma is nutty and malty. Taste reminds me of roast hazelnuts, but neither my brother nor my mother noticed them there. Lightly roasted malts for sure. There is a very slight sweetness and a very slight hoppiness. Nice body. Ain’t bad. It do taste different than do other amber ales for sure.

Aroma has berries, some sweetish malt and hops with resin. Flavour has berries and vegetables typical to Danish ales, some sweetish malt, toffee and hints of resin. Too much berries here.

Bottle. Poured into a massive Viking flask with an etched effigy of a happy conquering Viking. American style, obviously. Amber colir (duh), thick tan head, decent lacing. Aroma of black pepper and caramel. Taste is smooth and smokey caramel. Not bad.

Bottle at home. Has a pretty clear slightly deep reddish amber colour with a small off-white head. Both the aroma and flavour is fruity and dominated by sweet berries, leather, wood, and a touch of smoke. Slick mouth feel, and light bitterness. A little bit one of a kind beer, and with a touch of norwegian forest I think.

Draught. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Realy nice amber.

On tap at Cask Pub & Kitchens Norwegian Beer Festival. Clear amber beer, tidy white head. Semi soft palate with fine stinging carbonation. Nice creamy malt, soft and smooth. There is a mild but clear and unwelcome fresh apple. A little caramel and follows through to the finish. Nice mouthfeel and refreshing but could do without the apple.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Lightly hazy amber, coarse head. Yeasty sourness in the nose. Light bodied withspritzy mouthfeel. Very lightly roasty, more tart and yeasty. Low bitterness. Not OK.
