‘Standard’ IPA by this pioneering craft brewery in Norway (not counting Nøgne Ø and a few others), thanks to Pedro of Bassin (and L’Arogante) for sharing the can! Off-white, mousy, stable, mediuym thick, cobweb-lacing head, lightly hazy orange-tinged peach blonde robe. Aroma of orange peel, herb cheese, leeks, dusty old ‘herbes de Provençe’, toasted onion, old rusk, dusty old herbarium. Cleanly and restrainedly fruity onset, notes of apricot, green banana and apple peel, lowish in sweetness, fizzy carbonation; slick and smooth cereally malt body, dry rusk and old cookies, with a dried orange peel and unripe mango character coming from the hops, mildly spicy and drying with a lingering orange peel (even subtly orange flesh) flavour lingering. Too old in the hops department, clearly, this must have been considerably more citric when young, but still enjoyable as a rather old school IPA, in a vein that brings back lots of memories for an older drinker like me.

Can at home on 26th September 2019. Pours clear copper with yellowy white loose foam and spot lacing. Hoppy aroma with a hint of soapiness. Tart citrus peel in-mouth with a suggestion of smoke. A bitter finish with some fruitiness. Zingy mouthfeel and plenty of body.

Tap at Mother Kellys. Dank smell, resin. Bit of dairy to it too! Taste is a bit weird, quite sweet, bit of sugar, light hoppy prickle, very small traces of fruit. Bit of bitterness at the end, but not quite sure about it.
