Many years ago, a mysterious book was discovered by a group of friends in a Ferndale, MI basement. A translation of its contents revealed the recipe for an ancient beverage using mango juice, honey, and black pepper. What they didn’t realize was that creating the beverage had dire consequences. Bottle bought @ biere-revolution.com. Pours clear greenish golden with no head worth mentioning. Smell is sweet and fruity with high quality honey, ripe mango, pineapple juice, hay, black pepper corns and dry wood. Taste is tiny sweet, slightly sour, heavy fruity and tiny spicy with honey, heavy ripe mango, dried apricots, mandarin oranges in sugar syrup, lemon zest and hints of black pepper corns. Mouthfeel is slightly crisp, tiny dry, tiny tart, tiny spicy hot and light to medium bodied. Finish is very tiny sweet, tiny sour and heavy fruity with heavy ripe mango, mandarin oranges in sugar syrup, hay and hints of honey. 500ml bottle - pours a clear light gold - nose of flowery honey, with a lot of earthy, fruity, cidery character - no mango noticeable, but a nice nose none-the-less - flavor is crisp - medium sweet up front, with the character of the honey evident first - through the middle, it dries significantly, as some tart apple flavor arrives, along with pepper heat - some mineral character before some mild, lightly sweet mango arrives for the finish - lingering heat, but nothing too potent - subtle, nuanced, and quite tasty.

Sample at Vintage Estate. Clear Chardonnay color with a minimal fizzy white head and spotty legs of lace on the glass. Aroma of sweet melons and honey. Medium-bodied with flavors of mango, honey and mild spice. The finish is sweet with a mango aftertaste. Decent overall.
