Our latest porter uses our beloved hops of Japanese origin - the bizarre Sorachi Ace - in alliance with lots of Maris Otter pale malt, Caramalt for body and Chocolate malt for flavour plus some Galena and Herkules for bittering, to create a right old mouthful of contrasting yet enticing flavours; bitter chocolate, cocoa, roasted grain, pineapple, coconut... Plus 500g of toasted coconut in the cask!

Hand bottle at home ... deep black ... thinnest bubbly head ...big cold coffee roast malt nose ... big bitter coffee roast ... huge hop front ... massive bitter hop ... juicy roast ... loads of cold coffee... think i need to let this warm up a bit ... nice session-able porter ... really quite hoppy and a little odd in the hop ... but thats probably cause i see it Sorachi ace... ive not been a huge fan of this hop but its working here...maybe a little coconut in the bitterness ... but i wouldnt have noticed it if it hadnt said
