Bottle in Aufsturz served in a thistle shaped glass which gave a great head. Aroma of caramel and a little vanilla. Flavour is warming malt with some berries. Finish is smooth caramel.

Dark mahogany brown colour. Aroma is quite grain-like and biscuity. Quite a rich texture. A warming malty flavour with a hint of wood.

Fra flaske 30 Apr 11. Mørkebrun. OK kremaktig skum. Smaken er søt malt. Antydning til whisky. Brukbar fylde. Bitterhet kommer etter hvert. Litt kjedelig.

Hazy dark red with a lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. Soft and smooth. 091011

Bottle. A clear, copper-colored beer topped by a finger-thick off-white head leaving lacings. Rather butterscotchy aroma with a distinct fruityness. Fruity and butterscotchy flavor with a little bitterness chiming in. Medium to full body, pleasantly carbonated. Some bitterness towards the end. Overall, too buttery and a bit on the sweet side, but quite decent anyway. 111001

Deep red / brown beer with a nice big brown head. Sweet aroma, roasted malt, caramel and tones of heather and nuts. Quite sweet flavour,malts, caramel, over ripe fruits. Slightest bit cloying. Slight acidic background to balance it all. Finish starts out rather sweet, then changes to rather dry with the bitterness of burned malts.

Bottle at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Dark brown color, small beige head, slightly lacing. Smell malts and caramel. Taste roasted malts, sweetness and caramel. Medium body, medium carbonation.

The bottle is a bit too flashy for me. Beer is quite decent, pretty average. Didn’t like the smell. Taste is better though. This is one of those beers that taste better when you just drink it, instead of really going into detail. For the rating i did, so it scored okay, but not great.
