22/7/2018. Cask at the Keel Row, Newcastle. Pours slightly murky dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, nut, toffee, dried fruits and a hint of chocolate. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation. A strong tasting solid performing brown ale.

Cask @ 3 Judges. Brown colour, tan head. Aroma has some roasted malts. Flavour: roasted malts, coffee, hint of chocolate. Aroma doesn’t give it away, but this one is actually very nice, very drinkable.
