Bouteille rapportée par mon fils de Belgique et gardée en cellier depuis un an et demi. De forts accents de fruits noirs dont des dattes et des figues s'immiscent au nez. Se joignent également des notes de caramel et de chocolat. De subtiles épices rappelant la cardamone et le gingembre s’insèrent également dans la palette olfactive. Liquide brun aux reflets orangés, fortement effervescent et couvert d'une mousse épaisse et tenace. Entrée de bouche terreuse et épicée. Notes de poivre très présentes. Carbonatation extrême. Réchauffante, avec un alcool épicé. Notes de caramel bien assumées avec touche de chocolat, des dates, des figues et des raisins secs. L'amertume modérément basse se veut légèrement terreuse et épicée. La fin de bouche mi- sèche relève un très léger sucré. Le corps, moyennement mince est fortement atténué par la carbonatation extrême. La sensation d’alcool est discrète. Un classique des classiques. Une grande bière. Fortement appréciée. Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, light roastyness, belgian yeasty spicy notes, medium bitter. Full body, malty roasty spicy bitter finish. Ok.

Thuis uit een flesje. Donkerbruin, mooi vol lichtbruin schuim. Aroma zacht caramel. Smaak vol, licht caramel en een lichte hint van koffie. Eerder lichtzoet dan bitter. Uitstekend.

Dark amber with off white head - Malt aroma with some caramel notes - Malt body with some caramel flavours and dark fruity flavours with some hints of yeast - Malt with caramel and dark fruity flavours goes into the finish - This was real good
