Deep red colour, lasting frothy pink head, light lacing. Aroma cherryies, citrus, bubblegum. Taste heavy cloying sweetness, slightly sour, medium body, sticky, bit artificial sweet finish.

Draught. Deep red colour, and huge, fine pink head, lasting. Fruity smell, also syrup. Taste cherry, sweet, but not too much, well balanced, even if a little bit artificial. An ok kriek, but the good ones are different...

Dark red, white foam, medium carbonation. Very sweet and artificial taste. Where is the sourness of a lambic?

A can from Asahiya. It poured a nice light ruby red with a pinkish white head of foam which vanished leaving behind lots of lacing. The aroma is a nice cherry one and the flavor is nicely sweet & tart with a good mouth feel. After that it starts to slowly lose points as the aftertaste is fairly sour & mildly syrupy. A good widely available Kriek which made me reminisce about my visit to Brussels...

Draft at the Brussels Beer Cafe, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a deep raspberry red, with a thin white broken head and lots of lace. The aroma is of bitter fruit as one might expect. The flavour is of raspberries, a little sour with sweet notes on the palate and a smooth pleasant aftertaste. Too sweet and not sour enough for me. Nice to taste, but more than one glass would be a little sickly and I feel might hasten my next dental appointment!

Bouteille 330ml.

The lindemans I had the other day was a little better than this kriek, but this is still ok. Pours red with foamy head, a little lacing. Medium carbonation. Strong cherry aroma. A touch of astringency floats in aftertaste. Some sourness, though minimal for style. On tap at Craig’s Irish Pub in San Jose.
