The Two Roads interpretation of this emerging beer style naturally takes a road less traveled. Unlike other versions, ours employs an American ale yeast and no spices. The result is a soft wheat backdrop that accentuates the Pacific Northwest hop character.

Can at Goblet, past its prime maybe. Hazy golden body, off-white head. Resinous, herbal aroma, oxidation, bit of fruit. Herbal taste, light oxidized maltiness, some dried fruit, some bitterness maybe. Yeah, will rerate if I can, but this was within BB if I remember correctly, so...

Old rating from 07-08-16 - A 355ml bottle brought back from New York City a few months ago. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with finger-width white head with decent retention and leaves lacing. Aromas of wheat malt as well as pineapple, pine, lemon & hints of spice. Tastes has a medium texture, with many of the same flavours present and well as grapefruit & citrus. The finish is dry and hoppy with a nice medium bitterness.

Can. Slightly cloudy pale piss-like yellow with a small white head. Aroma of grapefruits, pine, lemons and wheat. Taste of grapefruits, grass, oranges, pine, lemons and malts. Somewhat spicy. Dry finish. Moderate to strong bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. Soft but full mouthfeel. Ok.

Can, 0.355l. Cloudy gooden pour, one finger creamy white head, good retention, lasting head. Sticky lacing on the glass. Nice on the nose, lemon, pine, grassy notes, light spice. Medium body, soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, chewy, creamy, nice thickness to it. Goes down quite nicely. Nicely balanced bittersweet taste. Aroma of caramel malt, wheat, grass, spices. Lemon, tangerine, citrus peel. Mild pine, some floral notes. Long lasting finish, dry, refreshing lingering bitterness. Quite tasty.
