Black coloured with decent carbonation coming up the middle. The head is light mocha in colour with good retention, but the lacing is slim to none. A nutty nose with some chocolate notes, roasted malts, grassy hops and hints of cherries. The taste is really not sweet, which I was expecting. The hops kills the sweetness, so roasted malt start with a hoppy finish. It is good, but not representing the dessert, nor chocolate talked about in the description. Lactose, what lactose? Yep, a good hoppier porter that goes down nicely.

Review based on the BJCP«2015 guidelines (style 31B/9C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 786 (BBF 19.05.20). AROMA: medium-high roasted malt aroma (coffee-like), followed by medium-high vinous-like alcohol notes. light complementary malt aroma (dark chocolate, slight maillard). medium sweet background. TASTE: initial medium-sweet malt flavor (coffee, cocoa), slight vinous, dried grapes. medium-bitterness with a roasty and semi-dry to dry finish. PALATE: medium-full body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a porter with added lactose with ok notes.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Cream, roast and a hint of licorice in the aroma. Chocolate milk. Chocolate milk flavor with roast and ash. malty. Sweet. Almost full bodied. Some warming alcohol. Roastbitter finish. Very good, though the lactose affects the drinkability a bit.

Smell- medium strong, chocolate, roast, coffee notes. Foam- medium large, dark drown, non sticky Appearance- very dark brown, maybe some red notes Taste- cofee, weak roast, bitterness more in aftertaste, medium thick generally, aftertaste some more sweetness and chocolate. Decent together with something, but on its own, i feel it is lacking refreshing factor and I was looking more for it when drinking it, still very nice beer.
