Inspired by an old Celtic word for Beer, “Curmi/Cuirim”, this delightfully refreshing wheat beer echoes the Celtic heritage of the region where it is brewed today. Curim has a higher hop rate than the mainstream wheat beers which leaves a slight tart residue, enough to balance the delicate fruity flavours of peach, banana and plum.

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a thick and dense, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet bready malty nose with a moderate wheaty touch, citrus and flowery and woody hops in the backyard. Light-sweet and slightly sourish flavour, slim bodied with a rather flat carbonation. Soft malty, slightly wheaty base with restrained fruity notes and a slightly woody hoppy finish (12.VII.09).

On tap at Café Studio Haarlem. Hazy pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of foul sulphur, sour grain, some citrus. Flavour is nice at first, sweet, wheat, citrus, ending in a sharp grainy bitter finish with a hint of sulphur. Medium bodied. Didn’t enjoy this one.

12oz bottle-pours a big foamy/rich to rocky off white head and gold color. Aroma is musty/grain/light malt, fruit, hint of earthy hops. Taste is lemon, honey, musty, bready, light malt/wheat, earthy/spice hops. Not quite my taste but nice and has some complexity.

Bottle courtesy FrankJohansen. Creamy white excellent fully lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate yeast. Exstremely malty and almost noo fruity flavor. Average light bitter finish. Watery palate. I really didnt like it!

Pour is a bright yellow with a large white head. Aroma has a nice wheat and malt to it with some breadyness. Flavor is minimal in regards to what the aroma was. Nothing really exciting going on here and very boring. Also very expensinve and i’m glad i just got a single.

Bottle. Light unclear light to medium yellow / orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, wheat, light hoppy, flowers, light to moderate yeasty, fruit, toffee - butter. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (260208)
