Inspired by an old Celtic word for Beer, “Curmi/Cuirim”, this delightfully refreshing wheat beer echoes the Celtic heritage of the region where it is brewed today. Curim has a higher hop rate than the mainstream wheat beers which leaves a slight tart residue, enough to balance the delicate fruity flavours of peach, banana and plum.

Really little bit of head. Brass colored I would say. Slightly fruity aroma, but I couldn’t really specify. A sort of weird taste for a wheat beer. There seemed to be a little bit of roasted flavors in there. The fruit flavors were not that strong according to my palate, but hey I don’t know what that makes me. One of my friends said that it tastes like a dark beer... and in a weird little way, he is kind of right.

Bottle at The Rake, Borough Market. Gold colour with thin white head. Citrus beer, over carbonated. Some fullness. Some floweryness. Floral hop aroma isn’t bad. Too carbonated though. Nice hop on finish.

Picked this bottle up from the Dodgy Deli’ Cowley Rd, Oxford. Hazy golden colour with some wheat, banana, and vanilla on the nose, taste is quite refreshing but vanilla come through again, touch sweet, but not too bad.

(50 cl bottle brought home from Helsingör, Denmark) Clear golden color, huge white head. Smells just like dry bread! A sweet almost to the butterscotch taste, but not quite. Probably some Münchener or Wiener malt? Medium mouthfeel, thins out a bit to the end of the swallow phase. Medium bitterness. A bit roasted aftertaste.

Bottled(500ml). -My first irish wheat beer. Very interesting but not so enjoyable. Clear golden, small head, stale wine nose. Aroma is malty, hoppy and slight wheaty with fresh fruity (lemon, banana, peach) notes. Lively carbonation with some sourness in the finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Orangey golden, slightly hazy with a fine, creamy but rather small head. Hasn’t got the fruity esters as in German and Belgian wheats. In fact this beer has incredibly little flavour. Soft wheaty notes but neither aroma, nor palate. No bitterness either. Not unpleasant just thin, thin, thin... 160103

A bit hazy orange, good white creamy head. Lively carbonation. Crisp wheat and orange nose. Malty, fresh, a bit yeasty with good wheat backbone and flowery hops. Finish is light and watery, slightly sour aftertaste.

Paid $1.19 for a 12 oz bottle. Slightly cloudy golden, no head. Smells like stereotypical beer. And hey! tastes like it too. Lotsa carbonation in the mouth, but, for this beer, almost seems like too much. Very unoriginal, boring brew to drink. Not bad, but nothing to tell your friends about either.
