500ml bottle - Pours a clear dark orange amber colour with a small off-white head. The aroma is biscuity malts, toffee and caramel with sweet fruity notes. A moderately sweet taste, caramel, sweet biscuit malt, toffee and sweet dried fruit flavours with a smooth bittersweet finish.

Bottle from Waitrose. Pours a clear amber colour with a thin soapy looking white head. Aromas of oranges, tangerines, marmalade, honey and tea. Taste again has notes of oranges, marmalade, honey and tea with some added caramel. Sweet finish. Medium to full body with a smooth oily mouthfeel. Very sessionable for the strength. Nice

Old historic backlog rating of a pasteurised 500ml 5.9% bottle. Supermarket purchase, Sainsbury's I think. Poured clear dark amber with a small frothy off-white head. Nice malty, toffee, fruity aroma. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

Putting rating here as mine is 5.9% alcohol. I don't see any mention of this being unpasteurized or not Smell-weak malt, hops, roast. Foam- thin, malty, bitter, roast, citrus, hops. Head is small, white in color with a brown tint. Appearance- beer bottle cap and bottle specific to brewery, neat.Clear orange-brown medium-dark color, weak carbonation. From - snifter Taste - malty, bitter, roast, citrus, hops. Refreshing. A fine beer I must say, perfectly drinkable. Bitter-lasting aftertaste. Feels like it would be great cold on a hot summer day.
