Filou is a strong blonde beer that is re-fermented in the bottle. Filou is brewed with Belgian and Czech aromatic hops. Therefore this blonde beer offers mild fruitiness and subtle hop bitterness. The result is a strong blonde beer that can be quite naughty, but always without bad intentions. A friendly beer for everyone!

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Blonde colour, large white head. Aroma and flavour of Belgian ale yeast, mild spices, alcohol and fairly distinct hops, reasonably bitter finish. A certain "sting" of alcohol (8.5%) and bittering hops only make the beer moreish. Will gladly have again.

Can at LSU Tasting: pours misty yellow gold with white head. Aroma is lightly spicy and floral. Night little bite to it. Refreshing and a little sweet.

0.33l bottle at Beerdello. Almost clear golden body, off-white head. Floral hoppy notes over some light phenolic, bit yeasty touches, pear ester as it warms. Lean dry taste, floral, touch of clean sweet maltiness, pear and vague banana esters go up as it warms. Finishes lightly woody, dry, herbal, bitterish. Actually, enjoying this a ton, as a tripel, it's lacking. As a golden strong with CZ hops, it's very enjoyable!

Disappointing. Dark gold with a medium sized fluffy head. Yeasty, phenolic, musty and medicinal. Long finish. Medium body.

Aromas are malt, dry grain, candy sugar, and a little mineral. Flavors are similar to nose, mildly sweet. Kind of a toned down version of a better Belgian strong blonde. Definitely drinkable but nothing special.

Aroma of grainy malt, yeasty notes, a bit floral, sugary notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a light to moderate bitter finish. Very average Belgian Strong Ale.

Bottiglia.
