Winter Solstice® is our take on the classic style of “winter warmer.” Boasting a deep amber hue and rich mouthfeel, its creamy finish will lift your spirits. Hints of toffee, spice, and caramel tease the senses making this the perfect ale to share with friends and family during the cold days and long nights of winter.

bottle - Pours hazy amber-brown with a light tan head. It smells of caramel malt and spices. The flavor is sweet caramel/toffee malt and spices that are noticeable but not overpowering. It’s alright though overly sweet for me.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market, Haverhill, MA. Aroma is bready malt with a little bit of caramel, vanilla, cocoa and holiday spice. Appearance is attractive amber/copper with slight haze, no sparkle, 2 finger-width creamy/frothy off-white head with decent retention and lacing. Taste is caramel and vanilla sweetness with mild roastiness and cocoa. Palate is medium bodied with creamy texture, initial lively carbonation that stings the lips, and nice long finish. Overall, this is a nice sweet treat without being cloying. Smooth and creamy.

Bottle from Seoul Plaza. Aroma biscuity toffeish caramel malts. Lightly hazy brownish colour. Taste has lots of malty complexity going on, toffee, biscuity, nutty, caramel, really really good. Sweet up front, but slowly shifts towards a balanced finish, though hops never show in flavour, only bitterness. Very good malt-forward beer. I like it.
