Grassy aroma of biscuity malts, straw. Flavour is malty, a little sweetness. A bit artificial and metallic tasting. Very dull.

*Rating overgezet 2016* Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een medium witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een bloemige wat kruidige geur. De smaak is moutig, bloemig en hoppig.

Bottle. Golden color. Peach yoghurt in the aroma. peach and citrus in the flavor. Toffee. Yoghurt. Grassy hops. Thin, seems slightly infected.

Fles, thuis, gekocht bij Speciaalbierwinkel Bodegraven. Pils met wat extra smaak. Rauw gehopt, gronderig bitter en gruizig. Backlog from 2015/10/04.

Bottle 330ml. [ As De Witte Leeuw Smaragd ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, wheat, moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet yeast, fruity, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Licht troebel donker geel bier met schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en hoppig met fruit, citrus en koriander. Goed bier.

One of the better heller bock beers I ever had. Fresh yeasty body, with fruity notes of hop, with some candi I think.

Bottle. Amber beer with a whitish head. Spice and citrus aroma. Spice and citrus flavor with earthiness. Medium bodied. Spice and yeast linger with citrus and light pine.
