The Mc Chouffe is an unfiltered dark beer (such as scotch).
Full of character, Mc CHOUFFE delights lovers of dark beer all over the world. Its distinctive flavour, its dark ruby colour and its fine creamy head make it a unique beer. Mc CHOUFFE is also characterised by its spicy aniseed and liquorice flavours, superbly complemented by full-bodied caramel notes. Despite its robustness, Mc CHOUFFE is surprisingly smooth. It even reveals delicious fruity notes, especially pear, as well as a very slight hint of bitterness at the end of the palate. With its 8% alcohol content, like LA CHOUFFE, Mc CHOUFFE is appreciated with the same lightness as its big blond sister.

Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Strong and lots of umami, nicely sweet and malty, but not overloaded at all. Beautiful.

Brown with good clarity. The aroma is a little sweet, dark fruits with caramel and maybe rye spice. Cherry? so much dark fruit compared to other Chouffe beers. good mouthfeel.

Marrón oscura. Bonita. Uno o dedos de espuma, ocre y poco duradero, dejando una fina pelÃcula. Aroma escaso, a tierra húmeda y malta tostada. Mucho cuerpo, y gas medio. Sabor complejo con base de rica malta tostada, algo de acidez frutal y final amargo que deja aparecer el alcohol que hasta entonces estaba bien oculto. Otra buena cerveza de la casa.

Foam: full foamy head but not long lasting. Colour: amber-brown colour. Aroma: caramel malt, plums, rosins, weak hoppy and earthy yeast. Taste: malt, dark fruits, some wood tones, nice peppery chocolate, a hint of coffee, great balance between sweet and dry bitter, medium body and average carbonation, good balanced beer.
