The Mc Chouffe is an unfiltered dark beer (such as scotch).

Full of character, Mc CHOUFFE delights lovers of dark beer all over the world. Its distinctive flavour, its dark ruby colour and its fine creamy head make it a unique beer. Mc CHOUFFE is also characterised by its spicy aniseed and liquorice flavours, superbly complemented by full-bodied caramel notes. Despite its robustness, Mc CHOUFFE is surprisingly smooth. It even reveals delicious fruity notes, especially pear, as well as a very slight hint of bitterness at the end of the palate. With its 8% alcohol content, like LA CHOUFFE, Mc CHOUFFE is appreciated with the same lightness as its big blond sister.

Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange hue with a thin, 1-finger, white head that quickly dissipates into a wispy lace leaving a wispy lace. Creamy and spicy Belgian yeast flavor with a citrus background and hints of hops. Medium body and medium carbonation. Excellent beer

Bottle with thanks to Nagi! Pours dark cloudy mahogany with a huge initially fizzy tan head that eventually gets creamy and leaves good lacing. Aroma is malty, caramel, spices, yeast, peppery, floral. Flavor is light sweet and light bitter, lots of dark sugar and yeast-spicy notes, dried fruits. Quite enjoyable actually.

Sample at Winking Lizard. Dark brown color with a medium thick frothy light beige head that dissipates gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and yeast. Medium-bodied with flavors of earthy yeast, roast malt and dark fruits. The finish is fruity with a yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.
