0,75 flaske delt med skibsrederen og Kitty, ombord på Fridtjofen mars-20 (med behørig corona-avstand mellom oss!). Rødlig kobber med fint skum som varer. En solid, saftig maltkropp med en deilig og lett krydret fruktkompott. Mild bitterhet. Vi nøt den til siste dråpe, en utmerket aperitif før hønsegryta.

Tap at Delirium Tokyo. Copper coloured, and quite different. Fruity berries in the aroma, maybe almost cherry. Taste is fruity and quite sweet. Doesn't feel very saison like. No graininess. Quite sweet, caramel. Quite nice but a little too sweet for me to drink more than a small glass.

Creamy off-white head. Just a bit soapy aroma. Sweet and caramelly with butterscotch. Apricot fruit. Some skunky bitterness. Disappointing saison. 5 3 5 2 9 = 2.4 Re-rate: bottled march 1992, sampled april 2005. Dust an sherry in the aroma. There’s still power under the cork. Sweet and raisiiny. Has become thin, but there’s still loads of flavor. Cherry sweets, mandarin. Vinous. A pleasant surprise, this 13 year old beer. (7 3 7 3 13 = 3.3). The rating is for the fresh version. Re-rate: tap. Café de Engel Oldenzaal. Sweet flavor with hops, licorice, caramel and mustard. Long lingering caramelly bitter aftertaste. Not bad at all, too sweet to be really good.
