Bottle at LCRBM 2006. Cloudy, copper with beige head. Pepper and citrus aroma. Cracked pepper aroma is great. OK in mouth with great spicey peppery finish. Great.

[Bottled] Cloudy dark amber, rich head. Juicy peppery nose. Medium sweet with plenty of estery peach. Mdeium bodied with that trademark Fantôme elastic mouthfeel. Pepper grows more dominant towards the finish. This concept actually flies!

Huge, ochre-tinted head over foxy-orange beer with greenish shine, Fantôme-hazy, very well carbonated. Immediate onslaught of both woodground and barnyard aromas, later more grass and some caramel. Slightly smoked and herbal (clover? clovernectar?) flavours, some wheat & caramel. Is it suggestion? But I do get impressions of Franconian Weizens, if way more spicey. In the begin, it has a slightly burning MF, wheat slickness. Medium bodied. The burning gets more and more pronounced, woody-oak-beeswax - which means it is really black pepper, no mistake possible. Surprising. Very pleasing beer, deceitfully simple, and really as complex as carnal sin. And as delightful. The black pepper is at the other end of desirability as the chili in some American concoctions...

Hazy golden ale with a thick white head. Light aroma of pot, coriander and thyme. In mouth, a funky pot and metallic hops in mouth, with good coriander and illicit materials. Medium bodied. Rather special. Post-Mondial tasting at Goldorak.
