Once a year we receive the latest crop of hops from the US, intensely aromatic and bursting with potential they’re begging to be put to work. With three times the quantity of hops of our explosive IPA ‘Cannonball’ and even more than our flagship Double IPA ‘Human Cannonball’ we’ve created a fitting tribute to the new hop release with this our annual homage to the hop. ‘Un-Human Cannonball ‘takes IPA to another dimension-balancing massive citric aroma, deep tropical fruit flavour and gravity defying drinkability to deliver a hop experience that is out of this world. We’ve done our best for the hops, don’t let them down by ageing this beer: please drink as soon as Un-Humanly possible!

500 ml can. 2018 brewed version. Pours sticky opaque orange gold with a cream cap. Malt, caramel, sticky mango, spicy orange zest, tangy sweet fruit, grapefruit, pine. Medium+ body with fine carbonation. Semi-dry hop bitter finish. Remarkably drinkable really

On tap at Haand Beer Festival 2013, Drammen. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Intense aroma of citric and piney American hops. Intensely hoppy flavour throughout, powerful as hell - but to be honest, I think the "ordinary" Human Cannonbal was better, and definitely more balanced.

500ml can at home. Pours a slightly hazy amber orange with a medium off white head. Nose is marmalade, nail polish, sweet malt, bread. Flavour is malt forward, floral hops, booze, marmalade.

Tap @ CBC 2015. Pours hazy light yellow with a white head. Aromas of tropical fruits, pineapple, peach, light malt, floral hops. Taste is peachy, hoppy, grassy bitterness, light dankness, citrus, orange peel, light malt, subtle coriander.

Tap @ 1st Anniversary Kaapse Brouwers Festival. Blonde, cloudy. Herbal hopsoup, with upcoming tropical fruit. Almost full bodied, but low on carbon. Alcohol hidden behind the hops. Nice!
