A collab between White Hag and Boundary on both sides of the Irish border, this is a Black Lager with Munich-like intensity. Light to moderate roasted malt flavors can give a bitter-chocolate palate that lasts into the finish

Keg @ The Swagman, Sligo [040317]
Black, ruby edges, dense beige nitro head
Nose of soft dark malts, soft coffee roast, hint of fruity whisky, slight sherry
Taste of smooth mellow dark malts, hint of whisky - not too much which is good, soft good quality roast coffee, touch of dark chocolate, some sweet dark malt, still getting hint of fruity sherry (has the whisky been aged in sherry barrels), dab of milk sugars, flavours all well integrated, yum yum. 1/2 pt is not enough...
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, creamy, velvet smooth, soft sweet dark malts. Finish of soft dark malts, light fruity whisky, hint of warming alcohol
Overall - Great beer to have on a cold, rainy day in Sligo. Excellent stuff.
