A collab between White Hag and Boundary on both sides of the Irish border, this is a Black Lager with Munich-like intensity. Light to moderate roasted malt flavors can give a bitter-chocolate palate that lasts into the finish

[33cl can from Beer52.] A deep chestnut brown pour with a beige coloured head; malty aroma; rather thin with a semi-sweet malty taste with lots of toasted grains and a touch of smoke. Pleasant enough, but nothing to stir the senses.

330ml can from Beer 52; BB 29th Jan 2020, drank at home on 21st Apr 2019. This style always seems to disappoint and sadly this beer fell into the same trap for me; the body depth just doesn't sit right with the body colour. My eyes expect a rich, full, oily mouthfeel and you just get a thin lager like watery texture. Anyway this isn't a bad example of the style, it's black and had a good beige topping; malts rule the aroma and taste, semi-bitter, semi-sweet, roasted and toasted throughout.

Very dark, murky brown beer with an off white head. Toasty malt smell. Taste has a strong malty hit too, with a touch of smoke and a smooth caramel taste to take the edges off. Decent body to it for the strength roo. Rather quaffable.

Bottle from Bottle Baron. Black body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of coffee, green pepper and hazelnut. Flavour of plum, dark chocolate and the faintest hint of whisky. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Well balanced and easy to drink - it’s just a bit thin.

Pours an almost black colour with a medium sized thick tan head. Aroma is espresso coffee, roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. The taste is sweet, with roasted coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and brown sugar flavours. Smooth in the mouth with a light burnt roastiness in the finish. Very drinkable.
