The Bush Prestige is a Bush Caractère that, rather than maturing in stainless steel tanks, has spent six months finishing in oak barrels.

During the bottling process, small amounts of sugar and yeast are added to the beer so it re-ferments in the bottle during its stay in the brewery’s warm room. This develops the natural yeast cloud and gives the beer its exceptionally high alcohol volume of 13%.

Reviving the traditional use of oak barrels has introduced aromas and tannins that haven’t been experienced in beer for many years. Even the most demanding beer lover will be bowled over by these qualities. Think of the aromas of whisky and other spirits matured on oak coupled with an extraordinarily rounded character.

The Bush Prestige is an exceptional beer thanks to its rounded taste, its rich aromas, the exclusive bottle and the limited distribution.

Appearance: A bit unclear dark golden color with a small off white layer. Do not bother if there are no head! No need for that.
Aroma: Caramel, apricot, oak, vinegar, vanilla and fruity. WoW feels like nose sex. Could have me nose down in this glass for ages.
Palate: Full body. A bit sweet, and an ok bitterness. Soft carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Pretty much the same as the aroma. Caramel, apricot, vinegar, vanilla, oak and fruity.. Well masked alcohol.
Overall impression: Mama mia. What a complex and lovely brew. And yet so god damned well balanced. Pure beer sex. Highly recommendable. Why on earth is this not available in Norway. Bought this in a god damned normal grocery store in Italy.
Personal stats: Bottle from a grocery store in Via Cassia in Rome, Italy.

From a 75 cl bottle shared at home to celebrate the birth of a grand son. Pours a hazy copper with an ecru head. Aroma of peach. Flavors of caramel, oak and vanilla. Smooth mouthfeel. Clean, slightly tart finish.

Bottled 750ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Unclear amber coloured, medium to big off-white head, lots of small yeast particles floating all over the glass. Alcoholic and slight vinous fruity nose. Distinct wood notes with quite alcoholic and mild fruity taste. Some notes of yeast and spices. Dry alcoholic finish. Both of Bush (de Nuit and Prestige) beers were really great.

750ml bottle thanks to Adam Jackson for sharing! Aroma is big oak influences, pears, maybe apricot and yeast. Also has a sour note. Taste is nicely complex. Raisins, toffee, old apples, lots of dried fruits with a really nice drying texture. Alcohol is warming but no harshness of flavor. To think that it’s 13% is unreal, easy to drink. Champagne type carbonation. I could sip this for hours. Real remarkable for the alcohol content. This can warm you up on a cold winters night.

Bottle dated 2010. Bought it last year in Connecticut during Christmas for $35ish. Enjoyed 3-ways at fridge temp in a tulip.Clear bronze maroon color. huge cork pop. Slightly tart nose with oak, cherries. A little sour? Is that right. i get tannic vinegar on the nose with caramel. Taste great. Lots of balance between the sweet, boozy and smooth candy like richness.Pretty incredible how good this is for a 13% beer. I could sip this one for a while. very nice. shame this is so expensive.
