The Bush Prestige is a Bush Caractère that, rather than maturing in stainless steel tanks, has spent six months finishing in oak barrels.
During the bottling process, small amounts of sugar and yeast are added to the beer so it re-ferments in the bottle during its stay in the brewery’s warm room. This develops the natural yeast cloud and gives the beer its exceptionally high alcohol volume of 13%.
Reviving the traditional use of oak barrels has introduced aromas and tannins that haven’t been experienced in beer for many years. Even the most demanding beer lover will be bowled over by these qualities. Think of the aromas of whisky and other spirits matured on oak coupled with an extraordinarily rounded character.
The Bush Prestige is an exceptional beer thanks to its rounded taste, its rich aromas, the exclusive bottle and the limited distribution.

An elegant bottle open with magnificent bang, a beautiful beer, amber colour, a head is medium and blond. The nose is quite sweet, riped fruits, bananas, some cherries, barrel and sourness. Complex and great aroma with Sour Red -style nuancees. Taste is fruitfull, the barrels are quite strongly present, sourness, apples, after the aroma surprisingly, there are only hint of sweetness, earthy sourness. Strenght of alcohol can be noticed, but the taste is hidden. Medium+ bodied, high and sharp carbonation, but that become steady and smooth after some roll of glass. This kind of beer is rare, interesting mix of strong belgian ale and barrel.

Slightly hazy amber colour, white head. Aroma of wood, malts, banana, quite strong alcohol, light sour touch. Dried red fruits. Sweet flavour, lots of alcohol, wood touches. Astringent mouth feel, finish wood and malts.
Supposedly aged in stainless steel tanks with wooden beams, but nonetheless a more than decent brew! Good combination with duck breast.

Bottle at the John=Jim Den Haag tasting, Den Haag. Bottle courtesy of Viaz. The aroma is clean crisp yeasty and with citrus notes. The flavour is alcoholic warm bitter, but smooth, rich and with a lovely smooth palate. Great for a tasting.
