The Bush Prestige is a Bush Caractère that, rather than maturing in stainless steel tanks, has spent six months finishing in oak barrels.
During the bottling process, small amounts of sugar and yeast are added to the beer so it re-ferments in the bottle during its stay in the brewery’s warm room. This develops the natural yeast cloud and gives the beer its exceptionally high alcohol volume of 13%.
Reviving the traditional use of oak barrels has introduced aromas and tannins that haven’t been experienced in beer for many years. Even the most demanding beer lover will be bowled over by these qualities. Think of the aromas of whisky and other spirits matured on oak coupled with an extraordinarily rounded character.
The Bush Prestige is an exceptional beer thanks to its rounded taste, its rich aromas, the exclusive bottle and the limited distribution.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has strong notes of fruit, as well as meidum notes of malt, alcohol, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, over ripe fruits, and a bit of yeast, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. The alcohol finishes off with a burn in the throat. Huge thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Flavour is alcohol, wood, some spices, mild sweet maltyness as well as some slight non-sweet syrupy notes. Even though the alcohol, a very mellow beer that’s aged beautifully.

[Bottle at Bier Circus] Hazy amber with small head. Sweet aroma, with wood, toffee and strong notes of alcohol. The sweet flavor has oranges, wood, yeast and strong pressence of alcohol. Full bodied. Alcohol is to present and aging will do this one well.

Bottle, 75cl corked, from trade with jbrus. It looks quite nice in the glass, with it’s unclear, orange-golden body and small, creamy off-white head. Some micro-floaties too. Estery, fruity nose with calvados and sweetish malts. Apple juice and calvados in the flavor, alcohol and some higher alcohols, but not in a bad way. Really complex, with some sourish, astringent elements. Full-bodied and warming. A quite lovely beer, but maybe a bit too much. There’s also some strange apple-like flavors, but overall it’s a pretty nice one. 090828
