hazy mahogany-like reddish-brown colour, moderate sized creamy beige-ish head, which disappears quite quickly leaving back some beige-ish off-white lacing; aroma of dried fruits like cherry and plum, dark chocolate notes and a huge amount of spices like cinnamon and nutmeg - definitely remind me to speculaas cake; taste has the same notes with maybe some dessert red wine notes; 10% ABV is very well hidden; really good quadrupel; considerably underrated (maybe it is due to my patience - I bought this bottle a year ago, so it has had some time to maturate :-) )

Bottle @ home. Opaque dark brown color with a dark red-brown glare coming through when held into the light, medium sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is sweet and herbal. Taste malts, herbs, tons of spices, (Dutch) "speculaas", very very sweet. Undrinkable for me, absolutely hate this sweet alcoholic spice water. Yuk!

Botella 66 cl de el Lupulo tomada en Belmonte. Marzo 2015. (r02). Lote KQ hasta 11..2016. Grandes recuerdos a cuadruples belgas con buena sensación alcohólica de 10 vol y toques especiados. Bastante buena.

Very dark brown colour with a light tan head with medium duration. aroma has notes of spices, mainly cinnamon, fruits are also present with notes of toffee. Flavor is slightly sweet with hints of ripe fruit, light caramel and chocolate. The final is mild sweet, uncompensated alcohol mouthfeel and caramel notes.
