Draft at the brewery. Near black pour, small ring of head. Chocolate aroma, hints of booze. Taste is on the sweet side, molasses, more of the booze,. Seems thin. Not much heat, despite the 10% ABV

Bottle shared by Countbeer. Dark brown color with a small beige head. Aroma is malts, roasted malts, light tart, coffee. Don’t get any bourbon. Taste malts, roasted malts, liquorice, again lightly some tart and no bourbon. Average bitterness and some liquorice in the finish. Decent stout but the bar is set high when it comes to bourbon BA Imperial Stouts and this beer just isn’t on par with expectations. That is, if it is supposed to taste like this. Oh well, as I said, a decent stout.
