Bottle. Pours dark orange with a creamy white head. Licorice, roasted stuff and berry seeds note in the aroma. Dark malts, berry seeds and strawberry notes in taste. Dry but not that sour. Still tastes like a saison.

Bottle. (Fantôme rating 10) Hazy brownish/amber with a large head. A very lively carbonation in this one. Aroma and taste of spices, barnyard, malt, wood, cedar, some berries and yeast. The finish was dry. Rather creamy mouthfeel. An interesting beer.

Bottle at THE Saison and Sour Tasting, London. Not sure who brought this [off-the-menu] bottle along. Pours ver cloudy brown with a fine, creamy, off-white head. Good and tangy aroma with some leather and ripe fruits. Light to medium sweet flavor with a bit of funk and tang, dry orange, more leather. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Tangy leather finish with ripe citrus, funk. Not bad.

75cl bottle, no BB date from Geers.

Bottle, 75cl. A hazy, dark golden-orange beer topped by a dense, light beige head leaving lacings. Surprisingly the aroma has some roasted, chocolatey hints, although the beer lacks the color one would expect for these aromas. Some dried fruits, a touch of tropical fruits, some yeast and some white sugar too. And some spices. Quite dry on the palate, medium bodied and softly carbonated. Are there some peated or roasted malt in here as well? Roasted hints, dried fruits, tropical fruits and yeast. Some bitterness shows up in the end. Another beer from Fantome that are impossible to classify and hard to rate, but nice. 120915

750ml Bottle - Hazy amber with a foamy head and very lively carbonation. Smoky and spicy aroma yeast and dried fruit detected. Fruity and peppery taste with black pepper, sultanas, yeast and nuts. It’s certainly interesting!

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly cloudy reddish copper color with a nice 2 finger fluffy khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Good spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of coriander, cherry, clove, raisin, roasted grain, pear, earth, hay, cocoa, peppercorn, must, light funk, and yeast spices. Very nice and interesting aromas with good balance and complexity. Taste of cherry, pear, raisin, roasted grain, cocoa, coriander, clove, earth, hay, pepper, grass, toast, herbal, must, and yeast spiciness. Fair amount of peppery spice on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, dried fruits, roasted grain, cocoa, clove, pepper, toast, earth, and yeast spices on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance between roasted flavors and spiciness; great amount of flavor complexity. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is extremely well hidden for 8%, with pretty much zero warming noticed at all after the finish. Overall this is an excellent dark saison! A lot of nice complexity and balance of flavors; and very smooth to sip on. Very unique and interesting; but very enjoyable.

75 cl bottle @ vPBF, no BBE info
Quite high viscosity when pouring. Aroma is quite nothing with some spices and hints of licorice. Flavour is spicy with pepper, chili, some rosemary and hints of apricot. Weird and way too high on spices, not a total disaster though. The chili notes are nice here.
