The first Lithuanian beer, brewed since 1995, which has received international recognition along with a number of top awards. Bright gold in colour and with a thick foam on the glass Ekstra has gained its wide popularity for its balanced flavour which is enlivened with slight bitterness of hops. Once introduced, Švyturio Ekstra has become the most popular draft beer in Lithuanian restaurants and pubs as it is delivered to bars unpasteurized or live.

568 ml can from Melbourne Beach Market. Pours a crystal clear gold color with a large white head and great retention. Streaming carbonation. Great lacing too. Pretty pour. Skunky Euro lager aroma. Standard Euro lager flavor, but not as skunky as the aroma. A little bready. Lightly crisp mouthfeel with a soft finish. Medium-light body. Not bitter. A clean, respectable Euro lager; Better than most.

Large foamy white head left a froth on a clear pale amber coloured body. Grain, malt & wet cardboard aroma. Medium bodied, feels fluffy over the tongue with short cloying back. Malt, grain, cereal, biscuit & lightly hopped bitter tastes on the back. Decent for a mass produced Lithuanian lager!
