This is brewed with a variety of specialty hops that are hard to find with today’s shortages, including the evasive Simcoe. This beer is clean, brisk and lighter than some with just the right amount of residual hops. The rye adds a spiciness to its malt flavor. Awesome!

Aroma of tropical fruits, rye, pine, some caramel, hops. Flavour is light sweet with a bitter finish. Excellent rye IPA and I love the name of the brewery!

On tap at Belching Beaver, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings out floral hops, light dank notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with biscuity malt, piney hops, and hoppy astringency on the finish. Piney and dry, with no residual sweetness. Very good.

Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a hazy orange gold with a near white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has lots of grass and pine with earthy grains and a hint of biscuit. Flavor has lots of earthy grain and grass with a bit of bread and biscuit supporting.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Opaque yellow color, medium sized white head. Aroma is malts, lightly rye, sweetish sticky resinous hops. Taste malts, again sweet resinous hops and moderate to medium bitter. Decent body and medium carbonation.

Keg at the north park BB tasting room, 15/11/14. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is citric sherbets, apricot, spice, tangerine. Taste comprises pine, straw, juicy citric peel, orange pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent IPA.

Enjoyed at gabf 2014. It pours with a nice crystal clear deep gold body that supports a full tan head of foam. The modest aroma is smooth with citrus and spicy hops that have a sweet onion sensation. The taste is also smooth and rich and delivers pleasing citrus hops like tangelo and a little bit of grapefruit as well as a nice spicy resiny onion hoppiness that’s mixing quite well with other notes and the smooth body. Yummy IPA that has a pretty high degree of drinkability.
