Bottle at RBWG GT. Pours a dark brown with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. Medium body, wood, dark chocolate, roast, nice booze finish, very good.

Sampled from bottle @ "Het is allemaal de schuld van Koen" tasting. Opaque very dark color, average sized beige to light brown head. Aroma and flavor are malts, dark malts, dark chocolate, chocolate roast, nice bitterness. Medium body, medium carbonation. Solid.

Bottle @ joes goes whale hunting. Black colour with a small light brown head. Smells cocoa, chocolate, roasty, toasty, dark malts. Tastes salmiakki, chocolate, slightly liquorice, sweet. Full body, soft carbo.

750mL bottle picked up at Lueken’s in Dunedin. It pours with a deep dark body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, a dash of burnt malts, a bit of dark roasted coffee and then sweeter smelling notes of malt balls and chocolate malts. The taste tries to be soft and silky but doesn’t quite make it but that isn’t a problem. I get malt sweetened dark roasted malts, a sliver of brunt malts and then chocolate malt balls. It’s a pretty smooth approachable Imperial Stout. As I type this up from my written notes why is it I hear a Beastie-Boys song . . .

Bottle at RBWG ’15 Grand Tasting @ Coppertail, thanks to whomever shared this one, 21/02/15. Black topped with a moderate tan swirl. Nose is coffee grinds, rich roast, spice, chocolate. Taste comprises chocolate, molasses, toffee, liquorice, light spice, charr, coffee. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid impy, good balance and drinkability.
