Bottle. Pours slightly hazy ruby amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, flower, dried fruit and caramel, with booze in the long nose. Intense flavour of malt, spices (cloves?), caramel and dried cranberries. A little fruity, slightly bittersweet finish. A nice one.

Bottle at Cafe De La Gare, Den Haag. Poured a dark brown colour with a thin broken head. The aroma is yeasty with a little fruit. The flavour is alcoholic bitter, yeasty, clean and very fresh. Nice but not my favourite Dubbel.

Drank at the 2007 Zythos fest. Ruby, port red colour with a biege foaming head. Sweet caramel, burnt malts, some yeast esters as well. The taste was a let down, a weak blend of yeast and off fruits and sweetness throughout. The watery aftertaste ruined the beer for me, some hop flavours tried to come out, but almost failed. A big let down for me.
