Pumpkin Imperial Stout with habanero chili.
Russian Imperial Stout with pumpkin and habaneros. Made by Shelton Brothers’ very own Robert Merryman and some friends before he left Spain. If you like big stouts this is pretty killer. You don’t really notice the pumpkin but you would if it wasn’t in there. Dark chocolate and smoke notes in the nose, some roasted malt. The hot pepper creeps up on you but it’s not over the top.

Bottle thanks to bursprak. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aromas of malt, chili, pepper, spice, dark fruits. Taste is malty, caramel, chili, pumpkin, spice, licorice.

Tap (Stu Mostów, Wrocław). Czarne z ładną i dość trwałą, beżową pianą. Mocno czekoladowe z wyraźnym czyli w aromacie i zdecydowanym paleniem w przełyku w smaku. Mimo dominacji chili, czuć czekoladę i delikatną słodycz na finiszu.

Bottle. Black. Malt, roast, licorice and red peppers in the aroma. Pumpkin? Maybe. Malty sweet flavor, chocolate, pumpkin, roast. Burning pepper. Just about bearable. Creamy mouthfeel. Decided that it is a very good beer indeed, but not my taste.

Naparbier Pumpkin Tzar 11.6% A huge habanero and pumpkin Russian Imperial Stout from Spain, yes please! I got this from Rakuten last summer and held on to it to drink at Halloween. Pitch black with a thick rusty head of foam. I served it in my stout glass and it had a big soy/umami with some fruity habanero heat as well as pumpkin elements but those vanished pretty quickly from the aroma. Full bodied huge beer with a velvety texture and a thick cacao paste flavor very dark bitter berry cacao with a 90% dark chocolate kind of vibe. There’s quite a bit of heat but it doesn’t linger too much. You definitely get Russian Imperial Stout and habanero but not much pumpkin... fun and interesting though. Bottle. Pours almost black with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, some alcohol. Taste follows nose, with some pumpkin sweetness. Definitely picking up on the habanero chili. Fairly spicy. Interesting.

Aroma is hints of pumpkin some dark chocolate and spices vanilla. Some creme brulee maybe. Taste is rather spicy tart coffee. Capsaicin as well. Not so round. A little harsh but still soothing. Spicy finish. Chocolate as well. Tasty. Good.

Jøje meg, hvor skal dette ende - vi er bare på femte post på kveldens agenda, og så kommer denne rett etter Austmann Whisky Wonderland (og begge fra fat - hvilken luksus!). Dessertsjokolader, nybrent luksuskaffe, chili og noen fyldige frukttoner fra gresskarene. Herlig munnfylde, a superb nightcap with a lingering afterburn. Utseende: brunsvart med fint skum som varer. (Mi2 Cardinal okt-18). Det endte med et aldri så lite fall på sykkelen på veien hjem, skulle det vise seg...

Caramel and roasted malt nose with dark chocolate, coffee, kind of a mild fruity kick. And, there's something with some heat in there, besides the alcohol. Very light Pumpkin spice.
Sweet caramel, chocolate and coffee, heavy on the roast, good pepper burn in the finish. Pretty long lasting finish. Pumpkin spices very light.
High end of medium bodied, adequate carbonation.
Burn baby burn.
