Pumpkin Imperial Stout with habanero chili.

Russian Imperial Stout with pumpkin and habaneros. Made by Shelton Brothers’ very own Robert Merryman and some friends before he left Spain. If you like big stouts this is pretty killer. You don’t really notice the pumpkin but you would if it wasn’t in there. Dark chocolate and smoke notes in the nose, some roasted malt. The hot pepper creeps up on you but it’s not over the top.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours dark brown to black with little beige head. Aroma of chili, chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, pumpkin, fruit, alcohol. Tastes slightly sweet with a distinct warmth from chili. Medium bodied, smooth mouth feel,

Bottle. Dark brown with ruby color, yellow foam. Sweet aroma, caramel, esters, wine, light sweet spice, a little coffee. Taste: caramel, a little chocolate, blue raisins, dried fruits, light spices, chili at the finish, warming.

Bottle 0.33l. Pitch black. AROMA- chocolate, pear, roasted malts, alcohol, licorice. FLAVOR- silky, lightly sweet, lightly bitter, warming alcohol, a bit chilli hot in finish, licorice, chocolate, fruity tones, chilli. Fuller bodied.

Poured at Shelton Festival, black with small beige head. The aroma is strong spice, peppers, roast. Medium body, roast, cinnamon, lingering heat from the habanero, boozy finish, very good.

Tap@Beavertown Extravaganza 2017, London - black pour with a tan head. Roasted and sweet malty with coffee, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, some burnt malty notes, some subdued pumpkin and chili kick into the finish.
