Since the Madagascar Bourbon is difficult to obtain (due to a typhoon) we switched to the Grand Cru of vanilla pods! It is called blue vanilla and origins at Reunion island. These pods have a longer growcycle and the fermenting process takes two years! Resulting in the creme de la creme of vanilla experience!

Nice black, creamy and dense head. Smells like old vanilla beer. Fairly smooth mouthfeel, decent body. Taste is old vanilla, after it turned metallic and bitter. Just noticed this is from august 2018, missed that in the store, but definitely past prime.

Draught @ Stadsbrouwerij Eindhoven. Opaque pitch black color, average sized beige head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, vanilla. Taste malts, vanilla, dark malts, decently bitter. Full body, medium carbonation. Solid.

Geprobeerd met LiekevdV, Edwin en Alex bij de Stadsbrouwerij Eindhoven. Het is een zwart bruin bier met een crème schuim. Het heeft een moutige gebrande geur met hints van koffie. De smaak is moutig, gebrand, chocolade met in de afdronk vanille.
