Glas gedronken bij VandeOirsprong. Donkerbruin helder bier met matig schuim. Aroma van pruimen en zwarte kersen. Smaak van gebrande suiker, karamel en zoethout. Nasmaak is iets bitter en kruidig.

Geprobeerd van tap bij de brouwerij. Het is een troebel donkerbruin bier met een crème schuim. Het heeft een gebrande moutige geur met tonen van gedroogd fruit. De smaak is vol gebrande mout, gedroogd fruit en rozijnen en kruidig in de nasmaak.

Tap @ Vandeoirsprong. Slight hazy copper color, medium rocky head. Aroma of an aged dark belgian strong ale, with some port notes, spices, bit licorice and some caramel. Bit sweet in taste, spicy. Nice one. --- Beer merged from original tick of Winterbier 2017 on 25 Mar 2018 at 14:53 - Score: 7

Sampled @ VandeOirsprong Winterbier festival. Brown color, beige head. Smell and taste malts, dark fruits, caramel, raisins, slightly sweet and slightly bitter. Decent to medium body, average to decent carbonation. Don't know how this is really different from the 2016 version, but as I liked that one I won't complain.

Tap @ brewery. Brown colour with a small beige head. Smells chocolate, spices, malts. Tastes chocolate, plums, cherrypeel, vanilla, sweet, alcohol. Full body, soft carbo.
