Less of a hit for me. Not much flavour at all here, some slight fruityness and a bit of tartness. Not very clean, nor sour, nor paradisical. Can imagine it's refreshing when in the sun, but even as a first beer on a festival it just fell away. Pity.

Hazy pale golden colour, small fizzy white head, mostly diminishing, no lacing. Aroma wheat malt, lemon, white candy sugar, light cabbage, hint of cloves. Flavour light sweet and mild sour, at first bit prickly mouthfeel, lemon and lemon grass, hint of grapefruit. Taste continues in het aftertaste, plus a light bitter touch in the finish. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation (my bottle was a month over the bbd), not really a Berliner Weisse but nevertheless a nice thirstquencher.

Hazy pale blond colour with fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have light sharpness. Very heavy carbonation. Lemongrass in the finish.

Geprobeerd met Inoven en Roelzie1986 op het Brabants Bierfestival te Oirschot. Het is een troebel geel bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een fruitige. De smaak is fruitig en zurig.

Dutch undefined ‘Weizen’ spiced with lemongrass and flavoured with grapefruit, sampled at Bierproeverij Nieuw-Namen, thanks Hilde for sharing. Snow white, loose, unstable, bubbly head over a misty straw blonde-golden beer with light greenish tinge. Aroma of soapy wheat and a lot of it, lemon zest or indeed vague lemon grass, apple, cloves, chalk, baking soda, some vague cooked white cabbage (DMS whiff); grapefruit remains very much in the background. Sweetish and lightly sourish onset, green banana and unripe melon, pear, lime-like accent probably representing the lemongrass, but in a subtle way; medium carb, soft soapy mouthfeel. White bread and soapy wheat flavours dominate in a very witbier-like way, soft sourishness makes it quenching but the lemongrass remains very thin; light grassy hop bitterishness and ongoing soapiness which reminds of coriander much more than lemongrass even if the brewer claimed no coriander was used here. Grapefruit, as in the nose, remains a vague background note, hardly providing any bitterness or aromatics. Simple and refreshing, not entirely flawless (DMS) and in that sense a bit below par compared with his other beers; I was looking forward to a spritzy, aromatic and exotic lemongrass effect in a crisp sour Berliner Weisse (which by itself sounds like a good idea), but found something very akin to Belgian style witbier including coriander and curacao.

Draught @ Tilburg Bierfestival 2017. Murky pale yellow color, average sized white head. Smell and taste lightly wheat, heavy grapefruit and citrus bitter, bitter.ight be too bitter for some but I like it. Nice (although I doubt whether it’s a real berliner weisse).
