The Original Schlenkerla Lentbeer is an unfiltered smokebeer, brewed in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. Bottom-fermenting yeast gives the reddish brown lentbeer a natural cloudiness. Its smoky aroma is already noticeable in the smell, combined with a fine hoppy note. In the drink the fullbodied, highly drinkable lentbeer shows its strong malty flavour, rounded up with the smokey taste and a light bitterness. Due to the nourishing yeast, the Original Schlenkerla Lentbeer has the "Brotzeit already included" (German word for afternoon snack).

Glass at wildeman, dark ruby to brown beer, small head. Aroma is smoked, smoked ham, malt, wood. Taste is the same, sweet, malt, caramel, light smoke. Very good

bottiglia 50 cl, 2021 edition 5,9%, bel cappello di schiuma beige pannosa persistente, colore marrone/rosso velato, al naso subito affumicato spek castagne legno, in bocca il lievito è dominante è ben maltata cremosa pane tostato speck caldarroste, carbonazione moderata, corpo rotondo, dolce con amaro moderato. Where I normally love the Schlenkerla beers for their rich, meaty smoke on a chunky malty body, this seems different. The body is lighter, less malty, and the smoke seems slightly more ashy and bitter. Still has memories of the Märzen, but lacks punch.

Bottle at home. Pours slightly hazy copper with dense off-white head. Aroma of caramel, smoke, dark bread. Tastes slightly sweet with balancing bitterness from both hops and the smoked malt. Medium bodied, smokey and bitter finish. A nice and well balanced beer.

Litre plastic bottle from a keg, via LowCostBeer (so most likely out of date). Cloudy mahogany red/brown with a tan coloured head. The smokiness in the aroma hits you well before you get the beer anywhere near your nose, it's that powerful. Ham and leather come to mind in the flavour and it reminded me of my trips to Bamberg where I've surely drank this before.

Barwa miedziana, klarowne, piana w kolorze złamanej bieli, dość obfita, niezbyt trwała. W aromacie chlebowe, wędzonka w typie ogniskowym, kiełbasianym. W smaku słodowe, lekko chlebowe i karmelowe z nutą wędzonego mięsa. Goryczka niska do średniej, wysycenie niskie do średniego, ciało dość pełne. Przyjemne, zbalansowane.
