Bottle from Yeme. Clear amber blond beer. Well.. Aroma is introducing to something gently touched by citruses. And it's exactly like that. Just little hoppy, medium bitter. Some little sweetness in mids but in overall just another IPA. It's easy drinking but that's it.

IPA aux arômes agréable et à l’amertume bien maîtrisée, cette Emelisse, déçoit quelque peu tout de même par un final retombant rapidement et par un manque de surprise qui la font être relativement banale. En verre, le blond doré s’apparente davantage à de l’ambré (EBC de 33) parcouru par de très fines bulles donnant naissance à une mousse blanche de 5 mm environ. Le nez est très intéressant, agréable et complexe sur le litchi, la mangue, la mandarine et le miel. Il est fort dommage que ces arômes ne se retrouvent pas à la dégustation où finalement, ce sont plutôt des arômes de pêche (voire mix fruits jaunes), plus simples, qui se laissent découvrir. L’attaque, sur une bon équilibre malt/houblon est cependant décevant sur des arômes trop peu développés de pêche, de mangue et de caramel. La deuxième bouche, qui s’ouvre sur l’amertume, présente des notes de fruits jaunes un peu plus marquée. Néanmoins, l’arrière bouche enrichit convenablement l’ensemble avec une amertume saillante qui se retrouve en troisième bouche (IBU pourtant peu élevé de 35) avant un final trop court, sur une amertume plus herbacée mais retombant rapidement. L’alcool, à 6,8 % ne soutient pas assez la structure et l’expression des arômes ainsi que la longueur en pâtissent réellement. Le sucre quant à lui est plutôt bien dosé (il pourrait éventuellement être légèrement augmenté). Une Blond IPA d’un soir, pas celle de toute une vie, je l’oublierai bien vite.

0.33l bottle. Hazy golden color with low white head. Aroma: grapefruit, juicy, touch of alcohol. Taste: grapefruit, pineapple, spicy, malt, touch of alcohol. Oily texture. Dry finish.

Hell hopfiger, grasiger Beginn. Süßlich, fast klebrig. Steigende Süße, dann herber und trockener, spritzig, rund würzig. Alkoholische Tendenzen. 10/10/9/10//9

Hazy, light orange beer with medium foam. Mild aroma has malts, caramel and peach. Taste includes herbs and some fruits, but those are only on the background. Lightly malty. Medium body, light carbonation, quite dry. Nice beer which hasn’t anything, but still all needed.

F: big, off-white, good retention. C: amber, hazy. A: caramel, pine resin, tropical fruits, toast, mango. T: malt, pine resin, tropical fruits, grassy bitterness also, grapefruit, tangerine, creamy mouthfeel, medium body, normal carbonation, good and tasty IPA, good balanced and not very offensive, 33cl bottle from Domburg in Netherlands.

Bottle (from UJH). Pours amber with whiteish head. The huge head stays forever. Aroma is hoppy, fruits, citrus, mango, caramel. Flavor is sweet and bitter, citrus, orange, caramel, malt. Finish is citric bitter with some alcohol and sweetness. Overall: good one.

Clear amber colour with a 3-4 finger head that won’t last too long. Smells like fresh-cut grass and some Belgian yeast, along with feint bitter hops. The taste is a bit more intense (read: hoppy) than what you’d expect from the smell, with nice citrus and tropical fruit notes on top of a sweet malty base.

330 ml bottle. Unclear orange body with a small white head. Aroma is a bit mature citric fruit, pale malt and hint of cat pee. Flavor is medium sweet pale malt, mild citric and tropical fruit, slightly spicy and medium bitterness. Medium body and a bit light in aftertaste. I suspect this is a bit old to provide full justice of this beer, but still within the best before date.
