Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

RBWG14 Pours dark brown, small white head Smell is rather sweet Taste is complex, bit bitter, bit sweet. Some spices . Nice !

Clear purple brown beer, small aery irregular head, unstable, dissipates rather quickly. Aroma: bubble gum, bit fruity, sweet and sugary impressions. MF: no carbon, medium to full body. Taste: caramel, some chocolate, mocha, little bitter, grains, mocha, bit sweet. Aftertaste: pretty bitter and hoppy, more than I remember from the regular Pannepeut? Some caramel, bit fruity, malty sweetness, more caramel, but a dry ending as well. Did not get to try this version side by side, like I did the other Real Ale versions, but I'm pretty sure I liked the regular Pannepeut better as well. So for me that makes 3-0 for originals vs real ales. :p

Bottle at Craig’s, and several from my pre-ratebeer days. Hazy reddish brown pour. Aromas of ripe stone fruit, brown sugar, some Belgian yeast notes. Taste has it all, very light bitter linger. Nice

Vintage 2010. Dark brown, beige foam. Medium carbonation. Very complex and full body. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit, chocolate and some roastiness. Very good!

Refrigerated 2011 brown 11.2 oz. bottle poured into a trappist glass. Pours opaque dark brown with small off-white head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is light candy sugar, medium body, low carbonation, little lacing, and slightly syrupy texture. Taste is dark candy sugar, molasses, some alcohol, and hints of dark fruit. I prefer the other Pannepots.

33cl Bottle: 2007 version, slightly out of date when opened on 22 Oct 13. Poured lovingly into a Westmalle chalice at home. I wanted to keep it longer, but I needed a ’good beer fix’ so extracted it from my aging stash and cooled it for an hour before broaching it.
Looks a rich, deep brown colour with a ruby red hue in strong light: on top a thin beige covering and collar.
The nose is a delight: sweet malt drenched dark fruits fill the air around the glass and make you want to dive in.
Dive in I did: the taste is divine. I love sweet malty brews and this fits completely into my style. Gorgeous flavours of spices, yeast and those sweet dark fruits blend together giving a wonderfully tasting beer that belies the 10% ABV it stacks. Full bodied and a really lovely night cap.

Bottle - Vintage 2007 - Toffee, dark fruits and molasses. Deep almost opaque brown with a rich beige head. Dark roasted malts, molasses and a ton of dark fruit. You can barely taste the alcohol at all and it is so well balanced I have to give this a huge thumbs up. One of my favorites from this series so far.
