Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

Bottle @ home. Pours hazy dark brown with a fading offwhite head. Aroma of malt, candy sugar, sweet licorice, dried dark fruits, chocolate, hints of port. Flavor is rich malts, chocolate, yeast, licorice, plum and other dark fruits, light spices, candy sugar. Rich and very complex. Medium body, soft carbonation, alcohol well hidden. 270812

truely another beer than pannepot ( you would think of it more as a variety ). this one’s a lot softer and has diffrent hints. also a very good brew , but you cant beat pannepot, my friends. this one is lighter ( tastewise ) so i now understand what they mean by ’ female version of pannepot’ . its not sweetened, its not more wattery, its just.. softer?

33cl bottle at Schouskjelleren (tasted: 2010-11-19). Pours dark amber with tan head. Aroma of dark dried fruits and malt with just a hint of alcohol. Nice and refreshing and very tasty.

Bottle, vintage 2008. Brownish with a creamy head. Rather complex beer this one. Yeast, sugar, malt, dried fruit, on the sweet side. A nice beer!

Very dark brown colour. Aroma is malty and has dark, dried fruits and some sweet liquorice. Quite a thick sticky texture with low carbonation. Sweet flavour. Warming feel from the alcohol.

Bottle, Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Deep dark brown pour with a small tan head. Nose had dark fruits, brown sugar and caramel malts present. Sweetish fairly complex flavour with some earthy malts and gentle spice. Decent stuff but falls short of the original.

330ml bottle. Pours a very dark ruby brown with a large, frothy head. Aroma is raisin malt and brocolli. Taste has some raisin and veg to start. Burnt cinder toffee finish.

Pours deep reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, dried fruits, alcohol and yeast. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long sweet fruity and alcohol finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

330 ml bottle via Beer Planet. 2007 Vintage. Pours a cloudy brown with only a light head. Some malt and dark fruits to the nose. Tastes of spice, brown sugar, wood, and toasty malts.Complex. Full bodied and warm as a 10%+ beer should be but well balanced. A great Belgian.
