Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

Odd that I haven't rated this since I've had it many times. Cracked a 2008 today and its held up quite well. Little bit of cardboard and solvent but otherwise its held up really well. Fruity prune and raisins with bits of caramelized honey.

2010 Vintage Bottle at home from Struisse Shop, Bruges, 24th September 17. Pours dark brown, clear, loads of black sediment in the base of the bottle. Aroma is heavy, dark fruit, cararmel, sweet. Taste is smooth, dates, fig, prune, fruit cake, caramel, rich and delicious.

Gekocht op zondag 5-2-2017 in de Struise Beershop aan de Burg in Brugge tijdens het 10� Brugse Bierfestival. En geproefd op 19-08-2017. Pannepeut 2010 is een helder en donkerbruin biertje dat bij het uitschenken een amberkleurig schuim produceert, je krijgt er wel weinig van en het vormt een gelijkmatige fijne laag die dan zeer snel neerslaat tot er bijna niets meer van te zien is. Het blijft ook maar zwakjes aan het glas kleven. Ook zeer weinig CO2 verzadiging te zien in de vorm van weinig fijne belletjes. Het aroma van Pannepeut 2010 is karamel-zoet en fruitig met (in jenever opgelegde) kersen en rozijn. Ook moutig met karamel- en geroosterde mout. Een zeker likeur aroma is eveneens te bespeuren. De smaak van Pannepeut 2010 is bitter en zoetig, karamel en stropig zoet met als fruitige toets de (in jenever opgelegde) kersen en de rozijnen, verder wat gebrande mout en de likeur toets. In de mond geeft Pannepeut 2010 een volle smaak met een olie-achtige textuur en is hij normaal koolzuur-prikkelend. Al deze smaken en het mondgevoel geven dat Pannepeut 2010 wel een harmonieus biertje is. De nasmaak vloeit lang uit en is wat bitterig en likeur-zoet, wat stroperig ook. De rozijnen en de gebrande mout zijn hier ook van de partij. Dit is een biertje met een stevige body, veel aroma en smaken en een lange nasmaak, zeer lekker. At a tasting, many thanks, small creamy bubbly head, cloudy darkish brown color, aroma of raisins and prunes with an alcoholic whiff, flavor of raisins and choclate spounge cake. Nice and enjoyable, a bit one dimensional.

Bottle at Erzbierschof Zurich, 2013 vintage. Pours clear dark brown. Aroma is dark ripe fruit, almost like a schnapps, booze, intensely fruity, a bit damp. Body is heavy, rather sweet but not sticky, with a soft texture and carbonation. Some dust. Long sweet palate, warming and softly boozy, some caramel and nuts. Great!

Draft pour at Brouwers, during their 12th anniversary party. Dark, cola brown pour with a disappearing head. Doughy, bready malts aroma. Some caramel, some lingering sweetness. Flavor is straight up raisin bran in a glass. Lingering bran, caramel, grain, and some raisin like fruit. A tasty beer for sure.

On tap at Craft & Draft Amsterdam. Dark ruby pour, clear, with a tan head. Notes of dried cherries, cognac, spices, bell peppers, light metallic notes, dried fruit, liquor. Medium body and carbonation.

(On tap @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Sept 1 2016) Pours very dark brown with a small medium tan coloured head. Aroma of toffee, raisins, slight toasted cereals, a bit vinous, boozy. Flavour is moderately sweet toffee/treacle core, raisins, red sweet wine, toasted malt, lightly spiced, an undefinable tart hint. Finish is slightly drying with some toast and light bittering hops cutting through a bit of the sweetness, and alcohol heat also present. Medium body, low carbonation. A good if not mind blowing dark Belgian strong.
