Chestnut amber (EBC 45). A fine, white, creamy and lacing foam. A complex entity of caramel malt, fruit, spices and the sweetness of the alcohol. A strong presence of alcohol, very spicy, slightly bitter. The aftertaste is sweet, spicy and slightly bitter.

25.4 oz bottle. Thanks Ren! Pours an opaque molasses color with a khaki head and very good retention. Decent lacing. Aroma of dark fruit and booze. The flavor is kind of a muddy mix of caramel, dark fruit, and some winter spices mixed together, with a warming, boozy finish. They flavors don't really blend together well, IMHO. Smooth than i expected for 10% ABV. Definitely a sipper. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness. This WILL knock me out!

Bottle, 2024 vintage. Caramel malt aroma with notes of dark fruit, spicy Belgian yeast, clove, Candi sugar and orange peel. Pours chestnut amber colored with a finger of tan head that has good retention and some lacing. Starts with caramel, dark fruit and Candi sugar flavors as well as having a rich, full body and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes smooth spicy Belgian yeast, clove and orange peel flavors as well as sweet, warming booze at the very end. Nice.

Wow I never rated this. 2015 bottle. Pours nice red brown with a giant Belgian fluffy head. Hints of spices, deep malts, floral, yeast candy sugar. Pretty good

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy copper amber with a large, frothy, long lasting, beige head that leaves sticky curtains of soapy lace. Sweet aroma of bready caramel malt, Belgian yeast, raisin, fig, red apple and clove. Sweet flavour of bready caramel malt, candi sugar, orange peel, plum, Belgian yeast and clove in a dry, slightly alcoholic finish. Medium to full body with a thick, sticky texture and soft carbonation. Nice complexity.

Bottle courtesy of Giulia M. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di sottobosco.
