Chestnut amber (EBC 45). A fine, white, creamy and lacing foam. A complex entity of caramel malt, fruit, spices and the sweetness of the alcohol. A strong presence of alcohol, very spicy, slightly bitter. The aftertaste is sweet, spicy and slightly bitter.

On tap at Brew'd Craft Pub, pours a clear copper amber with a small off-white head. Aroma has plenty of toasted chestnuts, toasted caramel, Belgian yeast, and bready malt. Flavour has a very nice spicy Belgian yeast character, with toasted chestnuts, toasted caramel, candi sugar, and dry bready malt. Spicy, complex and well-balanced, finishing dry and spicy. Very good.

Servida en cáliz, color ámbar oscuro, turbio, con tonos rojos al trasluz, corona de espuma color blanco hueso, bien conservada. Aroma dulzón y maltoso, rico en notas especiadas, fruta madura, mazapán, levadura, plátano... En boca es cálida y agradable, entra dulzona con mucha presencia de maltas tostadas, caramelo, especias, bizcocho...El final es muy ligeramente amargo, algo seco y licoroso. Un trago muy reconfortante, ideal para los meses fríos y muy digna para fiestas navideñas, muy buena, agradable y disfrutable.

A red-brown beer, a head is big and beige. Aroma has fruitness, light caramel. Taste has fruitness, strawberries, spicyness, hint of spicyness. Medium bodied. Simple and straightforward.

330ml bottle from Fountainhall Wines. It pours lightly hazy deep chestnut brown with a decent fluffy khaki head. The aroma is earthy, toasty, woody, nutty, festive spice, brown bread, toasted brown sugar, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, touch of clove, fruit cake and Christmas cake. The taste is dry, a touch bitter, toothy, chewy, bitter - sweet character, toasty grain, nutty, woody, twiggy, brown bread, rivita, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, light cherry, fruit cake, warming spice and kick of booze with a drying woody finish. Medium to fulsome body and fine, lifting carbonation. Drinks well. Spice is well judged. Nice one.
